Blue Olive Consulting - Try not to think of the color blue. I have spent the last couple of hours pouring over this site and really appreciated the honestly in most of the replies. We are a small firm and like every other agency want to grow, but can't without honest feedback which isn't easy to get from people know you and don't want to hurt your feelings. I know the site lacks sizzle and has too much of a 'web brochure' feel. What else do we need? Too much content, not enough, colors, navigation, functionality???? How about the portfolio? Please leave no stone unturned. I'm also willing to paying to get it right. Any takers? ![]() |

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Got your email and will be in touch. Had a look at your site and the one thing I would point out is that I didn't even notice your top navigation bar on first viewing, it was only after I read you post I realised there was a portfolio section. The content is excellent, well thought out and gives a good insight into your company as a whole, just the right amount of information. It's also a good site for explaining exactly what you do, and the thought that goes into your work, as opposed to 'look at my work and how good I am!'. In the 'what we do' section, the buttons don't jump out immediately, so I can imagine if someone was wanting a quick look at your work, they might not bother rolling the cursor round the page looking for rollovers. The images are also a bit on the small side - could maybe do with either a link to the clients site, or another page with a full explanation of the brief and solution. Colour wise, it's not what you expect and like your tagline says 'try not to think of the colour blue'. It's a quite subtle and peaceful colour scheme, but could maybe do with one strong colour to emphasise the overall design. I could help out with a bit of tweaking if you want and will email you to discuss it further. Glad you like the forum and if there's anything you come across which you can help out, please do. |

I like the site - its looks professional.
I must admit that I too didn't realise that there was a navigation bar at the top until I read the previous post. |

IMO the font is quite small but does work. As said previously, the top navigation can easily be missed. But it does look professional and it does stand out from the crowd - I can't say I've seen a website that is similar to that, and that is an achievement. And I think the logo is excellent.
