Hi Asif, had a look at your sites....

PMA Online.

I think the page looks quite jumbled and there are no clear areas for the different sections - just a whole lot of information which looks like it's been placed anywhere it fits. Have you thought about putting it in to clearly defined areas - News, Travel, Shopping, and most importantly (for your accountancy services) Money.

Not too sure about the green colour scheme either, looks quite harsh and overpowering when you first land on the site. Combine this with the variety of colours on the page and it doesn't work too well. Check out this link to see about colour usage on the web:
http://www.designmeltdown.com/default.aspx
If you even replaced the green for something more neutral, like white or a light grey, it wouldn't take too much work or time, and would improve the overall feel - look at yahoo and google, they both use white as a background and can place anything on top without fear of clashing.

PMA Accountants site...

This site is a whole lot better looking, why not make your other site similar to this (layout, colour etc.) not only will it be easier to use, it'll also assist you with your corporate image and branding, which is always a good thing.

When clicking on the nav bar at the side, I could only find a couple of pages with content, is this site still in development?

......

Hope you don't think I'm being too critical, just trying to be honest, and hopefully help you improve your online presence for any potential customers passing through your sites.

Thanks for the feedback there, i dont mind the criticism as its exactly what im after... Im not exactly a web designer .... but i managed to design my own sites. Im not really a creative person...more of a number cruncher...

PMA Online was an ongoing project which i had started. But as soon as the accountancy picked up, i ended up neglecting that side. Your right about the green effect..it was ok when i first laid the page out...but after adding loads of graphics, my page load time got slower and now it does look abit extreme.
There are a whole load of sub pages coming off the main page which divides the site into its relevant categories, but i guess your right, i should have sections within the main page too. Will definately do something there

As for the PMA Accountants website, it is still work in progress. Again, i hope to have this up and ready by the beginning of the new tax year in April with all the latest updates and hopefully set up a newsletter subscription aswell, although i am using Yahoo Groups at the moment to do the same thing...

Im also looking to setup another site on the .com domain for the accountancy. The basic template is there, content needs to be added.

With my heavy workload at the moment, its been a little difficult to get back into the web design bit..

Well...here goes...wish me luck

Hi Asif, is this site completely unconnected with your accounts site? If so, what is the actual aim of the site?

With this in mind it is easier to give constructive comments.

On your other site - index I would strongly recommend cutting the flash down a bit, could be very off putting to someone in a hury - they might just give up waiting and go to someone else. Also, it doesn't really convey *accountant* to me.

Yes, PMA Online, was originally developed as a general website to promote other sites via affiliate programs ...to bring in some commission ...it seems to do alright, turning over atleast a couple of hundred pounds in commission every month. Even though i have linked the Accountancy on this site. it doesn't really have anything to do with it... Apart from the Money page, which provides services from other vendors. You could say this was just a hobby.

The PMA Accountants website is purely for the accountancy business. This site is where the major work needs to go into in the long run to compliment my business.

This site isn't really to here to Convey "Accountant". I knew that from the start...too much flash ( which can be skipped btw ) and all the rest. At the time i developed this site, i was also doing computing and web design and decided to build a site which showed all our services as a company ( PMA Services UK Limited ). Since then, i have stuck to the accountancy, and thats why i have a seperate site for it. I need the PMA Accountants site to be more professional than the other two, as its the main site for my business.

I guess PMA Services was being used to show a larger number of services not just in the accountancy but other fields too. I was also looking into creating an umbrella company for contractors, which now is not worth the trouble thanks to the Inland Revenue - but this was also going to be shown on the PMA Services website.

too much info huh.... bet your also confused as to how i could have so much time on my hands to do so much... me 2...

Yes you should. The design is poor and it makes the website look like a con. I wouldn't waste my time on that site, I would go straight to the next one - and i'm sure this is the reaction you want!

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but you need to give your visitors confidence in you. Good design will help you do that.

Isn't the whole point of this site to generate cpc income, so the more evil the site is, is better. Forcing the users to click somewhere very quickly after landing?
