Business angels and investors

Hi everyone,
My business interests are in the property investment, finance and publishing market, from the experience and knowledge I have gained, I am looking for funding to set up a UK property investment marketplace that shall focus on sourcing UK property investment opportunities for investors.
I have a business plan ready in place and have been active, but need to take this to the next level, anyone out there who could possibly interested please get in touch.

Hi Jay and welcome to the forum.

Have you been in touch with your local business link or business gateway? They are usually good places to get some startup advice and also to direct you to government grants or funding.

Thanks for your reply, Yes I have looked at the possible options. I am considering a small firms loan guarantee if required to back up any investment capital.

However, I looking at private funding from those in particular with business knowledge and experience who have successed in their other venture.

If you've got a pretty sound business plan, it might be worth looking into things like the dragons den or Peter Jones' new ITV show 'Tycoon'. Worst case scenario, you get to tighten up your presentation for when you do get to meet any potential investors. It's a long shot, but if you don't ask, you don't get.

Yeah i v look at that route route, but I rather find private investor with some knowledge in this market or have an investor. These big tycoons will wish to take control of the business, which I dont really want to offer, but yeah thanks for the suggestions.

I have a number of other sources, which i am currently using to find busines angel and investor. I have some good leads.

Many thanks, Yes I wil keep you posted on my progess, my other interest are in the hosptality and publishing market, these are other venture that I will wish to pesue later through this year.

But firstly, I need to set up the property investment business first and I guess this is the foundation of many other things to come.

These are my interests, I have been looking into them for the past 2-3 years now, but its only in the past 6 months or so, that I have actively looking at steps to procedure with them.

The interest I mentioned are all areas that I am farmilair with and have knowledge, experience and been active in. so yes, I just taking it a step further now.

Are you going to be sourcing property across the UK or just in your locality? I'd have thought that the risks associated with areas you know well would be less?
